About me...

I grew up in Michigan where I enjoyed taking trips to the beach, skiing, swimming and spending time with my family. I have two younger brothers who always know how to put a smile on my face. We have a family pet, Mercede. She is a loveable, yet lazy Newfoundland dog.

As a young girl, I loved to take ballet classes, and can still remember my recitals vividly. I have always enjoyed arts and crafts as I have created several scrapbooks, and still enjoy traveling home to complete holiday projects with my mom. Now, I get to channel my inner-artist into my bulletin boards and display cases in the classroom.

After graduating high school, I ventured off to Bowling Green State University where I earned my Bachelor of Arts degree in middle childhood education with mathematics and science concentrations. I graduated in December of 2009, and decided to be a substitute teacher for the remainder of the school year. I filled a variety of positions in different grade levels and content areas, as well as a long-term position for sixth grade mathematics at an academy in Toledo, Ohio. As the 2009-2010 school year was coming to an end I had received various job offers for the following school year. After careful consideration, I found Bowling Green City Schools to be the best fit for me. I am proud to be a part of Crim Elementary. I have a wonderful group of students and exceptional colleagues.
