Technology Showcase...

Throughout this Masters program I have completed many projects to use in my classroom. Below are the pieces of work I am most proud of. Please click on the photos below as they are linked to my work. I have included a project from each course I have completed. I am proud of the growth I have made throughout the program. I am amazed at how my work has evolved and improved over time.

*Please note: Due to the large file size, not all projects are linked to this page. The Measurement Lesson and StAIR are not linked to their associated photos. To view all of my other pieces of work, please click on the photos below.

Measurement Lesson featuring PowerPoint: CEP 810
Picture
This was one of the first lessons I designed that relied completely on technology. I created a PowerPoint presentation that was a collection of slides featuring real-world math problems. The problems gave students the opportunity to practice making conversions using measurements.

TechQuest: A Review on Study Island:
CEP 812
Picture
CEP 812 was the last class I took in order to earn my Educational Technology Certificate. For my final project, I completed a TechQuest in which I studied the impact of technology in schools. More specifically, I supported the idea that implementing a technology-based program such as Study Island may help improve students' study skills and habits, as well as their test scores.

Online Resource Library:
CEP 805

This course was all about incorporating technology into math in new, exciting ways. The final project was to compile all of the resources I have found throughout the semester and showcase them within a online resource library. I have a collection of applets and online resources that can be used in a middle school math class.

Electronic Portfolio for Teaching & Learning: CEP 813
Picture
This course was one of the electives I chose as part of the Masters program. I created the shell for my online portfolio, as well as some of the pages included in the navigation bar at the top of this page. My main focus was creating a way to showcase my students' work. One of the biggest accomplishments for my students was their electronic scrapbook featuring their trip to camp.

Scientific Inquiry Online Course:
CEP 820
Picture
This project may have been one of the most rewarding. I took one of my units I use in the classroom, scientific inquiry, and converted it into an online course. I created sections for instruction, activities, assignments and quizzes. There are 5 lessons within the unit that students can complete online, in or out of the classroom.
Stand-Alone Instructional Resource (StAIR): CEP 811
Picture
A StAIR is a resource that can be used independently in the classroom. Students work through the presentation in order to learn about the different types of clouds, and answer questions along the way. Students can work at their own pace, and review the material at any time.

Guide to Technology, Teaching & Learning: CEP 800
Picture
As a teacher, technology plays an important role in my planning and delivery of content. This assignment supports my position on incorporating technology in schools. I include specific examples of how I include technology throughout the school day, while supporting those examples with the ideas of Vygotsky and Piaget.

Capstone Portfolio:
CEP 807
Picture
This is the project where I put it all together! I created this website, my capstone portfolio, during CEP 807. I kept myself busy during the summer months in order to create an accurate reflection of myself as a student, a teacher and a professional.
